About us

Improving heart health for people who are too often left out of care.

Save A Heart Save A Life (SAHSAL) Foundation is a non-profit health organization founded by Dr. Steve Okwu, an Ireland trained and resident medical doctor. We are committed to improving cardiovascular health and expanding access to essential heart care for underserved and less privileged individuals, particularly across Nigeria’s Niger Delta region.

Our vision To build a society where everyone, regardless of financial status or place of residence, has access to heart health education, preventive care and essential cardiovascular support.
Our mission To promote cardiovascular health through public awareness, prevention, early detection and charitable support, while facilitating access to essential medical care for underserved populations.
